Our clients wished to extend their 1960′s home to provide a new kitchen and dining space and open the house up to the garden in a more effective way. The new single storey extension is timber framed and is passively solar efficient, with large expanses of glass on the southern elevation and small windows on the north.

The folding sliding screen opens the room up to the garden and a new terrace provides space for sitting and al fresco eating. The walls are clad in Western Red Cedar and render and the roof is finished in zinc.
